Dunno if this has been suggested, but iam gonna say it again if it has.

As we all know...no one uses the search button/window.

Solution -
You know when you get a new game and like in LA a message appears saying "Go do this quest to travel to Cantha or Elona" (which ever game you got)
Well have something like that saying "Don't forget to check the "Party Search" to trade and find a party to go adventuring with"
And after seeing that, i would think people would want to post stuff in there, because there would hopefully be more people looking at it. Also, make that message box to were the player has to close it out,(the little 'x' button in the corner) for slow loaders like me.

Remove the henchmen from all the outposts except the beginning islands and pre searing..

I agree that they should find a way to remind people of the search funtion, but channel spam's only gonna annoy everyone.

The party panel cannot be hidden while in outposts.

They could do the same to the search panel...

But it would eat half of the screen...

Luckily we have Ctrl+Shift+H.

Great idea! I really wish more people used the party search function. I use it all the time, but it feels like i'm talking to myself.

when lfg for mission in a crowded town or farming in fow especially when we dont have favor its unrealistic to expect people to use it because theres a great deal of competition to get in groups as only 1 ss necro or 1 tank is needed and in a way to just use search thingy risks not beeing seen and a longer wait for the next group. i think in certain places lfg chat spam is something that you have to bear.

If they removed henchmen I would go play wow permenantly. I am a solo player and have never partied with more than 1 player.

Although the fact that party search isn't that good is that it's not global and there really arn't enough GW players in the world to do every mission/quest.

To improve the party search it needs to be made so you can leave it running, with your post up while you go question/do a mission. If someone sees your post then they can pm you and you can team up when you're done. It also needs to be a combined party search for elona/cantha/tyria. I understand this would make the list pretty long (and it would get longer as more people decided to use it) but it could be categorized.

This is how the WoW and CoH party search works and it is the only way for it to work.

ok ok so my idea was harsh there was some sarcasm to it but ive posted another way to reduce spam and at the same time promote the usage of the search feature

if you type lfg, wts, wtb, or running doesnt matter if you type it in caps or lowercase this is without a / it should pop up the search feature automagically
